During this time, we have developed highly productive automated survey systems by utilising calibrated Leica electronic theodolites and total stations combined with electronic data loggers and “in house” software.
Applying these techniques to dimensional surveys for the Offshore Oil and Gas Industries has extended these activities. The company has now completed surveys on at least 30 different offshore installations in both the North Sea and Morecambe Bay where replacement pipework spools have been required to be installed without resort to “hotwork” and steelwork requiring “first time” fit.
